Counseling

Hope Family Health Center provides counseling services to members of our community who wish to improve the quality of their lives and relationships.  Counselors at Hope strive to assist clients in empowering themselves to use their own strengths to make positive changes in their daily lives.  Our counseling services are confidential as well as family centered and solution focused.  We provide counseling services to children, adolescents, adults and older adults in the form of individual, couple/marital and family therapy.

Counseling services are provided by Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Master Social Workers and graduate level student interns from the Social Work, Counseling and Rehab departments at UTPA who are under the direct supervision of LCSW’s.  Counseling services are provided in English and Spanish based on the client’s preference.

Some of the many issues that counseling can assist with are:

 ·        Depression, sadness or hopelessness

·        Anxiety, panic or overwhelming fear

·        Marital or relationship problems

·        Parenting issues

·        Behavioral problems of children

·        Family violence or abuse

·        Sexual abuse

·        Alcohol or drug abuse

·        Anger management

·        Stress management

·        Self esteem issues

·        Grief and loss

·        Anything interfering with the quality of a person’s life.

We encourage anyone who is in need of assistance to call Hope Family Health Center to speak with a counseling professional to learn how they can begin receiving services.
