HOPE Family Health Center works to heal a person’s mind, body, and spirit through integrated health and wellness programs. As a mission driven organization, HOPE works to ensure each person who requests services receives the care they need and deserve. A patient may come to the clinic for primary medical care, counseling, integrated health, peer support, case management, or wellness programs.
Hidalgo County has a 34% uninsured rate (compare to Texas at 21% according to countyhealthrankings.org). This means 34% of the individuals residing in our county do not have access to preventative health care services that may assist them in their well being. Being uninsured has been liked to obesity, hypertension, stress, depression and more.
In 2016 Hope provided direct health care or psychotherapy services to over 2,500 individuals and held over 5,000 appointments. If each of these individuals had gone to the emergency room even once for their primary health care needs, it would have cost the health care system of the county an extraordinary amount of money.
Our success is measured in the number of people we can help with the quality of programs and services we provide. These programs are fueled by our dedicated staff, caring volunteers and generous donors like you.
